As informed by us in our previous post regrading the announcement of IBPS Clerk Exam Dates 2013. Today, we feel happy to announce that IBPS Clerk Exam 2013 Notification is out and online registration all set to start from 19th August, 2013.

IBPS Clerk Exam 2013: Complete Details


IBPS Clerk Exam, popularly known as IBPS Clerk CWE is an All India Entrance Exam for the Selection of Personnel for Clerical Cadre in Public Sector Banks and Financial Organisation. However, the major recruiters through the IBPS Clerk exam are 19 Public Sector Banks (PSB's).

Here are a few things that you need to know about the IBPS Clerk Exam 2013

1) IBPS Clerk Exam is held once an year. The First IBPS Clerk Exam was conducted in Nov/Dec 2013, the 2nd being held on Dec 2013. In 2013, IBPS Clerk Exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in Nov/Dec, 2013

2) IBPS Clerk Exam getting attention of lakhs of candidates. In the First IBPS Clerk Exam over 43 Lakh Registered and 30 lakh appear and only 5.31 lakh pass the exam. In the 2nd IBPS Clerk Exam, over 15 lakh Registered and 10 lakh appeared and only 1 lakh passed the written Exam

For 2013 IBPS Clerk Exam, it is expected that close to lakh candidates will appear for this exam. The reason being, because IBPS had made Graduation mandatory to apply for IBPS Clerk Exam.

3) Gone are the days, when you have to darken the Ovals on the OMR Sheet in the Written Exam. Now the IBPS Clerk Exam goes Online, and as such you have to appear for exam at a computerised centre and you can answer the Questions, with click of a mouse button.

4) It is worth mentioning here that only those candidates who rank higher in Merit will be declared successful in the Written exam and hence called for Common Interview. Applicants must have to pass in each section of the Written exam to be able to considered for rank or merit in the written exam.

5) Those who qualify the (Written Exam + Common Interview) will be called to fill their preferences for participating Banks/Organizations. The Allotment will be done through a Computerised System and every successful candidate, will get one Offer for appointment in any of the participating banks



Who is Eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk Exam ?


If you are willing to apply and appear in the IBPS Clerk Exam 2013, then you must full fill these eligibility conditions


  • Age Limit: Min: 20 years and Max: 28 years ( An on 1st August, 2013)
  • Educational Qualifications: Degree in any disciplines from recognized university in India. Students will backlogs cannot apply.
  • You must be able to read, write and speak the Local/Official Language of the state.
  • Applicants must be computer literate and posses  the working knowledge of computers.

 Selection Process


The Selection Process to be followed by IBPS in the upcoming IBPS Clerk Exam, comprises of Written Exam, which will be followed by Written Exam and then by Common Interview.The Written Exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in Nov/Dec, 2013

Only those candidates who pass the Written Exam and stood higher in merit will be Called for Common Interview

Common Interview: The Common Interview for IBPS Clerk Exam, will be held at selected locations in Country. The Interview will be conducted by participating banks and is coordinated by IBPS.

Those Candidates who pass the Interview will then be asked to fill their preferences for Participating banks.

A successful candidate will receive one offer through a Computerised System for Clerical Job in any of the participating banks.


How to Apply ?


Applicants who full fill the above mentioned eligibility conditions, can apply online and submit their Online applications in between 19th August to 7th September, 2013.

Application Fees: Since, Indian Constitution allows relaxation for payment of application fees for all competitive exams, therefore, applicant must pay the IBPS Application fees, as per the criteria given below
  • Rs 100 (For SC/ST/PWD/ExSM
  • Rs 600 (For Others)

Online Application: Applicants are to be submitted only through the Online mode, by submitting the Online application form at the Official Website of IBPS (www.ibps.in). 

Before, you proceed to apply online, make sure you have you Scanned photo and Scanned Signature as these are needed at the time of online registration.

Applicants are advised in their own interest to carefully fill the online form, by following the On-Screen Instructions. Once, your application is registered, make sure you note down the Registration No. and Password, as these are needed in the further stages of Recruitment.

Also Don't forget to Print the System Generated Online application form, containing your filled in details.
